“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
– John 3:16
Our God in Heaven, the great God, loving and merciful father who does not want the death of any sinner. He did not want us to perish in our sins hence, He sent His dear son to come to the Earth, to shed His blood on the Calvary for the remission of our sins.
“Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?”
– Ezekiel 18:23
“Say to them, As I live, declares the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die, O house of Israel?”
– Ezekiel 33:11
“Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.”
– Hebrews 9:22
In Hebrews 10 : 1 – 12, we see that our Lord Jesus Christ came to sacrifice His blood for the remissions of the sins of mankind and thereby redeemed and reconciled man back to God “his creator”.
Christmas season is not only a season for feasting, rather it is a time to reflect. It is a time for us to examine if one is truly saved, reflect on ones standing in our faith in Jesus Christ.
Are you sure you are in Christ Jesus?
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
– Revelations 3:20
Jesus Christ is knocking at the door of your heart. He wants to have a relationship with you, forgive you of all your sins, redeem you from the power of darkness and reconcile you unto His father and your creator. All this is done so you can become a Child of God and enter into His inheritance which has been prepared for you even before the creation of the world.
Please harden not your hearts. This is a season and moment of reflection and reconciliation. Today is the day of salvation, tomorrow might be too late.
Prayer:
As you hearken to the heavenly voice and welcome the King of kings and Lord of lords into your life, you will receive the newness of life in Christ Jesus.
Be blessed and remain rapturable.
